Chocolate cake with spices

For 8 portions:

  • Preparation time: 30 minutes
  • Cooking time: 45 minutes


  • 250gr of flour
  • 50gr of cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 300gr of sugar
  • 150gr of fresh cream
  • 50gr of dark chocolate
  • 100gr of butter
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 tsp ground clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  • In a food processor, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes clear.
  • Add the fresh cream, melted butter, orange zest and juice.
  • In a water bath soften the chocolate and add it to the preparation in the food processor.
  • Mix the flour with the cocoa powder and the spices then add them to the food processor.
  • Add a few drops of lemon to the baking powder and mix everything well. Add the mixture to the preparation.
  • Pour the preparation into a buttered mold and put it in an oven preheated to 180 ° for 45 minutes.
